Process: Recruiter Reached out to me on Linkedin. I am interested in a Full Stack Developer role.

Online Test
Three DSA questions

  1. https://leetcode.com/problems/break-a-palindrome/
  2. Given an array representing n positions along a straight line. Find k (where k <= n) elements from the array such that the minimum distance between any two (consecutive points among the k points) is maximized.
  3. The third one was a multisource BFS problem not hard
  4. Rest were MCQ based on CS fundamentals, SQL, and Aptitude.

I solved all three DSA Questions; for MCQ, I was unsure about 1 or 2.

Within a Week, I got a call from a Recruiter for my 1st Interview. She asked me if I had any other offers or PPO. I told him about my Uber PPO and salary. She told me about the compensation they will be offering along with base ( definitely it was more than uber )

Interview Round 1
After the introduction interviewer moved to Projects
I asked about my internship project. He was very much happy after that
Then he asked me about a project mentioned in my resume.
Asked Backend Questions like API, request variants, database, MYSQL vs MongoDB. The last one was Redis ( i was surprised, but I knew what it was for, so I just told him that he was satisfied)
At last, he asked me one DSA question https://leetcode.com/problems/remove-all-adjacent-duplicates-in-string-ii/.
Even examples he gave were from leetcode only
At last, I asked one question that I had.

Interview Round 2

Asked two DS questions 1st
https://leetcode.com/problems/leftmost-column-with-at-least-a-one/
https://leetcode.com/problems/remove-all-adjacent-duplicates-in-string/
After that I explained the internship project. He asked some questions related to that. Like grpc, testing, microservices
After that he asked on one of the ML projects. I was able to told about that. And answered all the questions
After that he asked me one of the backend project questions. And all related questions
At last he asked about concurrency and multithreading.

Verdict: Rejected

Learning
While explaining project use only those terms that you are fully comfortable with i used grpc although i worked but don’t know much
Same with resume dont write unnecessary things in resume in projects
While answering project questions if you are not confident about certain things say i am not sure instead of answering wrongly
Strong basics related to projects
Although all these are basic things i only focused on my DSA skills forgot to prepare related to projects

I had offers from sharechat and other companies but great learning experience.
