Hi all,

This post is about my fourth interview experience after being laid-off.

A bit of background about me

So, I had around 1 year and 4 months of experience before being laid-off from my company.

The situation was horiffic considering I lost my touch with DSA and given the market scenario at the time.

Took a day to cool down and then created accounts on every popular job board, took linkedIn premium trial for a month.

So coming back to my 5th Interview experience

Company - Delhivery
Location - Gurugram, Haryana
Position: SDE -1 Backend
EXP required: 1-3 YOE

This round was an extention to previous interview held in this post but this time it was for different teams, Also the Round 1 results were still valid, so I just have to pass Round 2

** 2nd Round Retake 1 **

* Interviewer was an Engineering Manager, she told me she was concerned with basics and not much in DSA. So this was the theme of the interview.
* DBMS terminologies and concepts: Able to answer but lost over Master-Slave concept.
* Then she started reviewing my resume, and put in front questions around them.
* Ques were related to Redis, MySql, Kubernetes (This was not in my resume though), Kafka (not in my resume), RabbitMq (not in resume), AWS SQS

Feedback - Positive but not that positive (Recruiter's exact words)
Self - Realisation after Feedback
* I was pretty confident of passing the round this time but, lack of knowledge in K8s, RabbitMq, Kafka made the difference

Got a call again from recruiter for retake of Round 2, again for a different team
She told this would be just an 30 mins technical discussion

** 2nd Round Retake 2 **

* Past experiences
* How would you know that there is some bug in your feature : explained him testing application thoroughly, even after release we can keep an eye on Error management tools such as Sentry
* He reframed this question and asked, how would you know that a particular API became slow after your release: Gave him idea of how product ratings works in my prior company, and the New Relic dashboards.

*** Feedback ***
* Negative
Self - Realisation after Feedback

* I knew he wasn't satisfied by my answers, little did I know he wanted me to mention Pagerduty but I have never worked with Pagerduty.
A month passed by, got a call again from same recruiter, regarding another opening in different team, same location.
This is to be 1 Hr interview and she also mentioned to have heavy touch on AWS, additionally problem solving

** 2nd Round Retake 3 **

* Product's architecture that I worked upon told him how we made use of Adaptor's pattern and Factory patter over it

* puzzle: 3 Bags, A, B, C - contains Salt, Sugar, and mix of both.
	All having wrong labels, Find minimum number of attempts to find assign right labels

* Rotate array : Discussion over TC and SC (even with usage of inbuilt functions)
* He was reluctant of me using reverse inbuilt function even if I explained the underlying concept
* He mentioned usage of inbuilt fuction will utilize cache space
* To be honest, I was not agreed with him over above point (I googled and didnt found anything relevant)

** Feedback **
* Negative, knew it already

** Self- Realisation after Feedback **

* Definitely disheartened, missed my last chance again and again
* Interviewer was knowledgable, but was also in touch with his arrogance as he mentioned about his 13-15 YOE repeatedly and compared it with mine
* He was asking questions from top of his head, which I realised midway that he wasnt prapared for the Interview.
* No ques asked regarding AWS - which I reviewed last day thoroughly (luck perhaps)
* Wasn't ready for the puzzle as well

Hope this post was not too long
