Amazon 2019 Summer Intern Interview Process(OA1&2 + Video screen)
  1. Your current employment status, work experience and the position you are interviewing for:
Status: MS student, graduating in less than 1 year.
    Position: Intern
    Location: Seattle, WA
Date: applied Febrary 5th, finished two OAs around Febrary 20th, Video interviewd at Marth 18th, and Got offer at Marth 20th
  2. The interview process and format of each interview:
    OA1: simple math and logical
OA2: two algo problems in 70 minutes, brute force could work
Video Screen: self-introduction, data structures, algo problems, behavior questions
  3. Your thoughts and anything else you’d like to add:
Normally, Amazon's interview is not hard, but you also need to prepare. OOD problem is also commenly asked. I'm lucky to have two easy questions https://leetcode.com/problems/reverse-linked-list and https://leetcode.com/problems/same-tree. But you need to work through examples clearly, so we all need to practice when we are preparing algo problems.
BQ is also important, common questions including "what is your favorite project?", "What will you do if you are facing a tight deadline?", "Your team work experience".. etc.
Check Amazon's Leadership Principles and prepare stories around it.
In my perspective, video interview is easier than phone interview, especially for international students. practice to cooperate with interviewers when solving problems instead of digging on your own.
Communication is more important than solving problems, especially for Amazon.
