I gave a Google onsite last week. This is how I rate myself.
This is not an interview experience post, I will create one once I get my final feedback from the recruiter
1st Telephonic Round (No Hire/Lean Hire)
Easy question.
Notes:
I solved the problem with tons of errors which the interviewer pointed out.
My approach to solving was bad. Didn't talk about the constraints, good examples, etc.
I feel the interviewer was just a super chill dude and I think we just hit off well and hence he passed me.
4 Onsite Rounds:
1st Tech Round (Lean Hire)
Leetcode medium question.
Notes:
The Interviewer gave no hints, besides was just mum.
Same as before, my approach to the problem was shitty. I didn't clarify the constraints, good examples, etc.
Although I managed to solve the problem optimally in the very end.
2nd Tech Round (Lean Hire/Hire)
Leetcode medium question.
Notes:
Went fine, solved the problem.
But I think I analyzed the time complexity incorrectly. I think they kept asking me to make sure I was wrong lol
3rd Tech Round (Lean Hire/Hire)
Leetcode medium question.
Notes:
Went really well.
Only thing is that I realized after the interview that the time complexity of the solution I gave was incorrect.
4th Behavioral Round (Lean Hire/Hire)
Notes:
I think I did poorly on the questions along the line of 'how I would behave as a leader?'. But went well otherwise.
Does anyone know if I have a fair chance here?
I will be creating a separate post soon with the location and the type of questions to give back to this awesome community. Thanks a ton to everyone! :)
