Hello folks, I want to share my first company interview experience. The company name is InFoCusp which came on-campus to my college.
They were hiring for Frontend, Backend, Machine Learning and Data Scientist role. There were 3 offline rounds.
In the first round, I had a technical test in which they asked 40 MCQs of different core CSE subjects (DBMS, OS, DS, etc.). Further, there were 3 coding questions (1 brute force question, the 2nd was about finding and manipulating prime factors, and the last was of DP). I was able to score enough to get shortlisted for the 2nd round (Interview round).
In the Interview round, the interviewer made BFS on my resume and asked about almost every topic/skill/project/internship which I mentioned in my resume. He was testing that am I clear about what I have mentioned in my resume or not.
Fortunately, I got selected for the final round (3rd round) which was also an interview. For this round, the interviewer was quite experienced in the technical field, he made DFS on my technical skills: he asked me some questions and once I answered those He asked cross-questions for the same topic in more depth. For example, suppose he asked me about my project (which was of social media type platform) so he asked me about what you were using for authentication after my answer, he asked what the difference between authentication and authorization is?, then once I answered, he asked me about different types of token-based authentication, and after I said some types (including JWT). He asked me for more details about JWT. Then he switched to asking me about different types of APIs. I also remember one question that I was completely blank about: It was the frontend side question: If you are fetching some API data which is too much large, then how will you optimize your browser side memory implementation to handle such large data?
The interviewer was usually asking me the cross-questions to test, is my concepts were clear in-depth or not? He also gave me a few puzzle questions which were of increasing difficulty.
Unfortunately, I was not shortlisted for the final placement, as my competitors (batch mates) were also worthy for the positions, but it was a great experience for me.
