Position interviewed for: Salesforce (MTS)
Round 1: DSA with bit of HLD
Dive into projects and responsibilities for first 20-25mins. Asked questions on decisions taken for DB, and how I’d scale my project for far greater loads etc. Then LC Medium/Hard Linked list question with some follow ups. Interviewer was happy.
Round 2: LLD & DSA
Was supposed to be LLD but then got converted to be DSA.
Started with design snake and ladder, then interviewer asked for approach and code for finding and printing optimal path to win (snakes and ladders array would be given, and dice outcomes we could control). I had already solved this during my LLD prep so was able to explain and code the optimal approach for this.
I was able to solve the question with 10 mins left, so interviewer asked a LinkedList medium question, I wrote the code with optimal time complexity but with O(n) space. However, interviewer gave a hint and then I was able to explain the optimized space solution. Overall interviewer was very happy.
Round 3: Purely behavioral
HM round with senior director. Completely behavioral - past experiences, scenario question.
Overall I found the Salesforce interviewers to be extremely friendly. Both R1, R2 were taken by LMTS.
