Hi Leetcode community,
Feeling so low today, so wanted to vent out my Interview experience. I have Googliness round pending still.
YOE : 5 years
In May through Google careers page, I have applied to Backend Developer role.
During June mid, I got a call from Google recruiter and after some questions about dsa, my onsite rounds are scheduled in JULY last week.
But just a week before i was affected with COVID and i have asked recruiter to postpone for one more week.
Onsite Interviews
Round 1:
Finding number of nodes from destination to source in directed graph. We can do this using both dfs and bfs. I have given dfs solution.
Feedback : Positive.
Round 2:
Graph based question but with some timings of connections made. We have to output the time when all the nodes are reachable from all.
Again given dfs based solution and coded. follow-ups made the question difficult.
I thought this also will be positive.
Interviewer gave negative feedback because of my slow coding.
Feedback : Negative
Round 3:
N ary tree given as an array with their parent nodes. Return the modified array if a leaf node is removed .
It took a lot of time for me to come up with solution. Written the approach for simple case. But follow-up is remove a subtree. I have told the approach but not able to code the solution because of lack of time.
Feedback: Negative.
Round 4: (Googliness)
Yesterday has to be my Round 4, but because of my personal situation I left the interview midway. I was not in a situation to give interview. I told the recruiter same. They are ok to schedule the interview next week. Hope the interview will be rescheduled.
I know that this opportunity will come to very less people, I truly dont want to waste this opportunity. But a dear person to me was in hospital from the morning of this interview day. I really tried to attend the interview and joined but unable to speak and think.

Update on 23Aug2022
Recruiter mailed me saying that "The hiring commitee has decided not to move my candidacy for the desired role".
They have not rescheduled my Googliness round
