I gave my 1st round of AJIO SDE2 in month of June.

1st Round
The 1st round was of 1 hour. It consists of following DSA questions.

  1. Detect Loop in Linked LIst.
  2. FInd the nth Element from a Linked List from last without using any extra space and in O(N) time comeplexity.
  3. Level Order Traversal of a tree.

Apart from above DSA questions I was asked for 30 min on theory questions on Core Java, MultiThreading, Working of HashMap, Java Spring, Differences in different DS present in Java.

So overall it was a medium level interview.

2nd Round
Duration - 1 Hr
This round was a SD round. He discussed on the current project arch and asked on the URL shortner SD.
He touched upon varioud if and buts on the designa and the logic to implement it. If we are choosing any service or logic then he asked about WHY only this and why not anything else.

So it was a in-depth SD round. Covering all the edge cases of application.

3rd Round HM
Duration - 1 hr.

Asked the following questions -

  1. Most difficult task done till now.
  2. Arch of the above task and few questions on the same.
  3. Spring related theory question.
  4. Hibernate related questions.
  5. JPA vs Hibernate.
  6. Redis internal working.
  7. Treemap Usage
  8. LinkedHashMap usage vs hashmap usage
  9. MultiThreading
  10. Few questions on avoiding single point of failure.
  11. Callable vs Runnable
  12. Inheritance in Spring Entity
  13. One DSA question (Find missing no in a array of size N where no are from 1 to N+1.). Asked optimal solution for the question. Was able to ans with Binary search approach.

I would say this was toughest round as it included everything DSA + Theory + System Design.
And in last he told about tech stack the company is using and explaind work of his team.

Selected for the job.
