Interview Process:
As I had a referral from the VP of Engineering, I was directly called for face to face interview with the rakuten team.

Onsite (2 rounds):
Round 1:
Technical Questions:
1. Given a continuous stream of numbers stored in the files, sort the numbers. Constraint : We can load atmost 1000 numbers into the RAM at once. (Ans hint: I used external sorting with merge sort)
2. Find the length of the circular linkedlist with a single pointer
3. Design Question
1. In your present project, how do you scale the application for 1 million users? (Ans Hint: Used Load Balancer, Caching, Horizontal Scaling )
4. MySQL - write a query for continuous updation of the table rows like autoincrement. I couldn't answer the question with a single query.
5. Data Scraping - how to scrape continuous feed like facebook user timeline

Asked about present job and notice period.

Interview Discussion with Hiring Manger:
1. What are your interests?
2. Present Job responsibilities
3. What kind of role you are looking for?

All in all everything was good. Waiting for results after interview with hiring manger.
