Position: Senior Software Engineer @ BYJU's

Recruiter reached out to me there was one hiring drive for Azure Networking, she asked if I am interested. I said Yes.
Three technical rounds were scheduled. On 20th May

Technical Round 1:

  1. Merge K sorted Lists
  2. Two Sum, Follow Up -> Three Sum
  3. What is Semaphore
  4. Difference between HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS

Technical Round 2:

  1. Validate if a Tree is BST
  2. Longest Substring without repeating characters

Technical Round 3:

  1. Find the largest j-i in an array, where a[i] - a[j] > 0
  2. What is difference between Single-Tenant vs Multi-Tenant System
  3. SQL vs NoSQL

Recruiter updated me that I have cleared the initial rounds. One final round with Hiring Manager is there for 1 Hour.

Hiring Manager (AA) Round:

  1. Why do you want to switch your company?
  2. There is an array of size 2xN, where N numbers are even and N numbers are Odd. Place all even numbers at even indices & odd numbers at odd indices
  3. Any reference in Microsoft
  4. Wanted to check if I have any location constraints.
    This round hardly lasted 25 minutes & I thought that I have cleared the interviews.

Result: Rejected

Thoughts: I am unable to process what went wrong. My luck has been constantly betraying me. I have solved ~700 questions on Leetcode. I regularly participate in contests & always able to solve 3-4 questions. Also good with HLD and LLD since I have solved and practised most of the standard questions & it's been some time I have seen a new question in an interview.

  1. This is the 2nd time Microsoft has rejected me.
  2. I have been rejected 3 times by Amazon(In my last interviews with Amazon, my interviewer was a lady who herself was not sure about time complexity of Alien Dictionary & hence rejected me since I corrected her).
  3. Rejected by Airbnb in OA itself
  4. Rejected by Uber in Hiring Manager Round
  5. I cleared my Google's interviews but my Hiring Committee is pending from 2 months. Recruiter ghosted.

I think I need some patience & things will fall into place
