I interviwed for Uni cards back in March. The interviwers were nice and process was smooth.
There were 4 rounds in total:
DSA : Interviwer asked me around 8-10 questions on DSA.
a. Invert a binary tree
b. DP problem on fibonacci concept
few more questions which I do not recall now. All medioum to easy.
HLD: Discussion on HLD of google drive.
a. How will you upload the chunks
b. Suppose there is internet issue at user's end. Then once he again has access to internet how will you make sure that no chunks of files have changed that were already uploaded.
and few other follow up questions on design
Cultural fitment: Questions like why uni cards. Positive and negative about you etc etc.
HM + LLD : Questions one my past projects. LLD of hotel booking system. Which design patter to use in which case. How will you maintain singleton property in distributed environment,
My all rounds went well and they extended me a decent offer but it was not suffient enough considering current market situation. So asked for more which they provided but then suddenly out of nowhere one day HR called and informed me that since your exp is less than 5 year we can not give you SD2 position and we are going to downgrade it to SD1.
I said if that's a company wide policy then I have no issue with that. But later I got to know from a friend's friend, who basically had same YOE as me that they offered him SD2 with better pay. He also went through same no of round and same steps. So I asked the HR to uplevel my designation and provide me a better compensations for which they kept singing the song of ESOPs and the power of ESOPs.
In the end, they did not agree to give me SD2 position so I declined the offer.
