Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and asked to share resume.
Once I had shared the resume I recieved an invite for Hackerrank assesment. Medium to Easy LC questions were there in OA.
I gave the OA the same day and immiditaely after few hours got call from recruiter regarding loop rounds. Recruiter scheduled loop rounds for the next week.

There were 3 rounds. All back to back in a window of 3 hour.

  1. HM - This round went fine as it was mostly behavioural and I think this one went well. No reg flags here that I could sense.

  2. Design Round - This was a 45 min round. Recruiter joined already a few mins late. First 18 mins went discussing a behavioural question(again!). The interviewer jumped onto the problem and it took him another 15 mins to explain the problem correctly. Now there were exactly 14 mins left for my evaluation. In the intrest of time, the entire round was now just limited to me designing the schema of two tables. I did and was asked to write a simple query. That's it. Interview done.
I'm not really sure what the interviewer had in his mind the whole time.
Can someone imagine? Barely 15 mins!

P.S. The interviewer was a principal engineer at the company.

  1. Coding Round - Again a 45 minute round and the first 15 minutes wasted in a long intro! Another 5-10 mins in explaining the question and I was left with 20 mins to think of solution and code it. At this point interviewer also had plans to make it more complex and had the voracity to ask me if I wanted to go easy to hard or the other way.

I'm not sharing the questions because they're aren't worth discussing.

It's hard to believe that at such great companies, people at higher positons are taking interviews like a rookie. Also, if they know that a part of interview is going to include some behavioiral questions as well, then the interview span can be very well for 1 hour. That'd help bothways.

Very disappointing experience!
