Position: SDE1 at Amazon
Location: India, Bangalore

Online Assessment:

- LC Medium (binary search). Solved 6/15 testcases.
- LC Medium (dynamic programming). Solved perfectly.

Virtual On-site:
Round 1: 5 min introduction, 55 min coding (DS)

- LC Hard (Stack). Solved perfectly, did not gave the brute force directly coded the optimal one
- LC Hard (Binary tree based on dfs). Solved perfectly, brute then optimal.

Round 2: 20 min LP, 40 min coding (Problem-solving)

- LC Hard (Tree). Solved perfectly. Asked 2 follow up, one of them I answered and the other partially was correct
- LC Hard (Priority Queue). Famous array problem. Gave the optimal solution which is the only solution

Round 3(Final Round): 20 min LP, 40 min coding (LLD)

- Hard design the deck of card game, had no idea that LLD will be asked for SDE 1, was not at all prepared with this and messed it up. I gave the classes name and there properties somehow, but could not able to implement two methods. Interviewer did not help at all. Lastly I said to him I was not expecting this and said to him that I was happy that I have reached this far.

I think it will be rejection as lastly I kinda self rejected myself but still waiting for hr, What do you guys think?

Update: Recruiter called today and said my dsa rounds were perfect but due to my last round they cannot offer SDE1 as of now but offered programmer analyst role without any further interview. Compensation wise recruiter said it is almost similar to sde1 (which I doubt) and work will be mostly support oriented + dev, also said one can get promoted to SDE1 from PA but it takes 2-3 years approx. Considering all these and I alreadry have an offer from Siemens(EDA) for MTS role which one should I go for? Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
