Amazon Recruiter directly called me and within a week first 2 rounds were scheduled. Since I was already interviewing with other companies so I was in momentum.
Round 1 - DSA round
Basic intro ~3 mins
Interviewer first asked 1 situation based question(leardership oriented) - It took around 8-10 mins.
Then jumped to ds problem solving section.
Q1. I can't recall the exact problem, But first I told him approach using DFS and then told him another approach using Knapsack. He was satisfied with both approaches but asked me to write Knapsack one. - It took around 25-30 mins.
Q2. Find intersection point of two linked lists. - It took around 15 minsLast 5 mins, few questions about Amazon on-call culture and patent policy.
Overall, I was confident about this round.
Round 2 - LLD and HLD(little bit of it)
2 Interviewers were there(one was shadowing)
Basic intro - 5 mins
Q. Design a scalable and concurrent parking garage system. - 40 mins Tell me about your challenging project(few follow up questions on it) - 15 mins
Last 5 mins, ongoing/current project at Amazon and on-call culture (just asked to find the differences between on-call culture between different teams).
Overall, I was not much confident about this round, but sure about 80-90%.
Round 3(After clearing first 2 rounds it was scheduled) - completely behavioral round
Interviewer was a hiring manager
Basic Intro - 3 mins
Leadership principle based and team skills tested. - 45mins
Last 5-10 mins, discussed about amazon culture and all.
Overall, I was confident about this round too.
Round 4(after clearing round 3 it was scheduled) - Bar Raiser aka BR round
2 Interviewers were there(1 HM and 1 from HR and HR was shadowing)
Intro - 5 mins
Past experiences and projects related questions and few leadership principle also. - 50 mins
Patent policy and how is the team structure and how task prioritisation works?
What are the expecations from an sde2?
After this round, I was 90% sure that they are going to offer me :)
Overall experience was good, it took 15-20 days to complete all rounds.
Note - one suggestion, you should keep your intro short and impactful of around 1 min and practice it. And please make sure that there is no questionable term or anything, otherwise sometimes your time will be wasted in intro and panel can have prejudice based on intro, depends on interviewer. So please don't take the risk.
I already had an offer from meesho.
