I applied for sde3 position and a recuiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. This was my second time interviewing for coindcx. I appeared for interview last year.

In last year's interview in the first round they asked few easy to medium DSA questions which i answered correctly and then they asked a puzzle which also i answered correctly and then they modified the puzzle and that also i told my approach but they were not happy with that. Then they rejected saying i could not solve the second part of the puzzle. I mean they don't care about the approach, they didn't even considered the correctly answered questions.

In the recent interview in the first round, firstly they asked about how we can improve on the existing API latency and throughtput. After that i was asked the internal working of the hashmap, i told the interviewer some basic approach using array and told him that I am not very familiar with the internal working of hashmap as such. They even after that he asked me to implement the hasmap. I tried my level best and with some hints I did implement, although missing some cases about collisions. They again i was rejected.

I think the people selected to take interviews they really don't know what to ask and how to check the candidate. They try to show off what they know instead of asking what the candidate know and how they will solve any given problem.
