So ,I had applied on amazon career site for around 50+ times but never heard back from there side , fine day i got a mail from sde1 team that they are hiring and they shortlisted my resume so i applied via that link , i got the OA link the same day.
Before i got OA link i was confident that "jo bhi aayga fod denge" but as soon as i received OA link my confidence went down and i started thinking that i am not capable and knowledgeable enough to pass the Online Assessment.
I thought lets end this thing today so i attempted the OA same day , i got 2 question on hackerrank
1)pascal tringle
2)1 DP question
luckily i solved both the question by the grace of god.
then there were some LP(leadership principle )question around 50 so i answered them.
I knew that i will pass the test ,After 5 days i got a mail that i have passed the test.
then after 10 days my interview was scheduled but for some reason interviews were postponed.
Interviews were again scheduled but again one of the interview got rescheduled.
i gave my first interview at 6PM after my office hours
1)DP hard type question - given an array and a number K find all the subsequence which can from a K digit valid number after doing its Modulo.
2)Stack/string medium type
i solved 2nd question but not with best approach (almost best approach)
could describe half of 1st question.
Note-people preparing should know the clarity of the solution as interviewer will dig it.
Round 2- nextday
we started with a good coding question
- given an 2D array/vector which contains pairs of nodes {parent,child}. we need to return
-> All nodes who has only 1 parent
->ALL nodes having no parent.
it could figure out the exact approach in first 2 mins. but messed but in implementation.
then we discussed about hashmap , time complexity of various funtions and some LP questions.
waiting for the next mail from there side.
