I was recently asked to write working code in most of the startups and rarely to submit it on leetcode also. It is quite difficult in contrast to first explaining logic/ pseudo code and then writing good quality code. I think its good enough to explain dry run on Google- doc code or any other codeshare.

What should be good method of taking interview, my $0.02 ->

• first askfor quick soln
• then ask for optimized if any
• do some dry run
• then in last ask for code/ pseudo code the approach with understandable syntax etc. , but dont expect working code

Pls stop this insanity, interviewer should also understand dry run and how code works rather than plainly asking it to run.
