Worst Experience
At first sight interviewer was not intrested at all.
He went on mute and spoke more than 10 times through out the interview, I had to tell him everytime ur on mute - I mean what the hell ? lol once or twice was fine but unfortunate here
He asked 2 coding questions- wonder if we can do better :p
Question 1 - https://www.hackerrank.com/challenges/chocolate-feast/problem
Wrote code in 5mins , sumitted on hackerrank itself by logging in.
Then he says lets discuss edge cases
Now next question-
Find marjority element ( > n/4) in sorted array.
he said 4 could be parameter basiaclly n/k
He first told discuss approach
told o(n) approach
now he asks if array is unsorted
i said we can use hash map and solve
now he wants to do this using priority queue - ? (community can tell if its even possible) He didnt give any hint also apart from use priority queue
I could not find a way. then he said lets optimize o(n) approach told earlier for sorted array for n/2. came up with binary search . he was not satisfied he was expecting some approach for n/k
Most of the time he was mute and when i started speaking something. He would not unmute himself. Then i need to shift screen to google meet and check and tell him u r on mute 😂
What i found is he is not clear at all on expectations.
Result-
Reject HR called and informed just after 5mins of interview.
Feedback - Stay calm and composed during interview - Oh God !
Improve coding skills - Not sure if solutions exists on what he was expecting
Dont waste time interviewing with Meesho ( and not even think of if you don't have java experience )
Anyways Hope to crack better ones in coming days
All the best folks for your interviews !
