Round 1 (Phone screen)

• 2 DSA questions, LC medium level were asked.
  • First one was similar to this: https://leetcode.com/problems/course-schedule-iv/
  • Second one was based on arrays.
• Was also asked LP questions in last 15 mins.
  (Verdict: Strong hire, as I did really well)

Round 2 (Online coding)

• 2 DSA questions, LC medium level again.
  • First one was based on topological sort again.
  • Second one was based on heaps.
• Was also asked LP questions in last 15 mins.
  (Verdict: Strong hire, as I did really well)

Round 3 (System design)

• Was asked to implement dropbox
  • No smart native desktop client. Just upload from browser
  • Assuming initial variant is implemented just for 1MB file size.
  • High scalability requirements.
• I implemented it well, but somehow my thoughts had lot of conflicts with that of interviewer and also ran out of time in the end.
  (Verdict: Lean hire am guessing)

Round 4 (Hiring Manager)

• 2 DSA questions, LC Medium level.
  • Both were based on a very special kind of tree traversal.
  • Follow up was modifying the tree, after the traversal. Into special kind of mirror image.
• Was also asked LP questions in last 15 mins.
  (Verdict: Strong hire, as I did really well)

Round 5 (LP/Bar raiser)

• A very top Amazon Exec from the HR team
• Was asked almost 7 LP questions, and answer using prior experiences. Did really well.
  (Verdict: Strong hire, as I did really well)

Because of not so great round 3 system design, I was lowballed to SDE1.
Hence rejected the offer. As I had 3 competing offers:
