Hi,\n\nI\'ve 2 years 9 months experience, but not as a SDE. \n\nI had my SDE interview recently. Fun fact, I thought the interview was for SDE-1 but actually it was for SDE-2 (Although SDE-2 was not mentioned explicitly in the job description. Expected YOE was 5+, but I had no idea that 5+ YOE inteds SDE-2, my bad :( )\n\nI was able to answer the LLD question and three coding questions on:\n1. Backtracking\n2. Trie\n3. Integer-to-roman and Roman-to-integer \n\nBut I flunked the System design round, I literally had no idea about the specifics of High level design. I was probed a lot on Leadership principles may be because it was for SDE-2 role, so I ended up repeating same stories for a few questions.\n\n**If I\'ve not met the critieria for SDE-2 will I be considered for SDE-1 role? Do I have to communicate this to my recruiter or is it considered by default**? Please let me know about this if anybody has an idea\n\nThanks!\n\n\n\n\n
