Current experience: 3.5yrs SDE

Had my technical phone screen live coding yesterday. It was a 45min round with google engineer.

Interviewer started with theory questions in the beginning on Graph, asked me to explain (5mins approx) and later gave me a graph question to solve.

I started asking clarifing questions on input size, edge cases, then i went over my thought process by writing down the steps and later asked him what he thinks, he asked me to start coding.

I finished the entire code in 20 mins and with 15-20mins remaining at the end, i walked it with an example and he said your code looks good and it works for this given input.

Then, he asked me on what all cases your code will fail? I wasn't given enough information here, but he asked me to think on all possible inputs where it can fail, i really had a hard time on that thinking all scenarios, he said I am very close to the solution but couldn't get the exact one he is expecting.

Then, time was up and he mentioned what he was expecting which was kind of a really weird input which i never came across my entire SDE career lol!

But, today i got an update from the recruiter regarding next steps - virtual onsite interview! :)
