Prior Experience : Seed funded startup.

I was approached by a Google recruiter in Jan 2022 on LinkedIn for a L4 full stack role. They asked for my resume.

After 1 month I got a call back say they want to schedule a screening round. It was scheduled after 1 week.

Screening round : The question is not the usual Leetcode question. It starts with a real life problem and after discussing with the interviewer it boils down to a graph problem which requires shortest path approach.

After that the recruiter scheduled onsite interview (virtual)

They took place after 1 week.

DSA round 1 (45 mins) : A problem that after discussion again boils down to a graph problem with dfs approach as solution. There was a follow up question to the same problem.

DSA round 2 (45 min) : 1 question and then follow up related to cycle detection in a graph.

DSA round 3 ( 45 mins) : Implement a restaurant queue system. ( Based on priority queue ) just one class not LLD.

Googleness round ( 45 min) : Situation based question and followups. Past experience questions.

They expect you to write working code and aslo know time and space complexity. Question are not straight forward but solutions are simple.

After 1 week the recruiter scheduled team matching. I matched with 2 teams. They are 30 min call with HMs. I selected the one I liked, which helped me a lot later.

1 week later recruiter went to Hiring committee with my packet and results were L3 strong hire, L4 hold because I didn’t do well in googleness.
I pushed back because it was a fresher role. Recruiter helped me out she reached the Hiring manager and got a note from him. His approval got me the L4 role. ( I did good in my coding interviews and manager liked my work, so I got his vote)

Then salary expectation. I gave them a high number. They cam back with a decent package.
