Hey Leetcode!\n\n**Status:** 3rd Year B.Tech CS @ Top Tier College\n**Position:** Summer Intern at Falcon AutoTech\n**Location:** Greater Noida\n**Date:** 19 Feb to 26 Feb 2022\n\n**Background**\nI was an average to below-average student with average coding skills. In July 2021 internship season, I was highly underprepared (**no preparation basically!**) for it.\nSo, I did not clear any online assessments for any company in July. Then I woke up, started doing some preparation and finally cleared one screening test and landed one interview. By the way, I was also socially awkward. I blew that interview.\n\nThen, the number of companies reduced and I slacked off and became inconsistent again.\n\n**My New Year Resolution**\nI made a resolution and set my goals for this year to code every single day, and get an internship and a placement offer and I am happy to say that I have an internship offer.\n\n**Interview Experience**\n**Technical Test:** 19 February 2022\nThe test comprised of some theoretical questions, 3 coding questions and a 15 minute aptitude test.\nThe theoretical questions were about Database and OOPs concepts.\nThe coding questions were easy to medium difficulty.\nThe aptitude test was basic logical reasoning and mental ability.\n\n**Interview 1:** \nIt was a simple interactive coding interview. The interviewer was friendly and easy going. \nHe asked me different questions about linked lists, traversals of trees and some basic array questions at first.\nThen he asked me to solve the eggs and building problem in which you have to find the minimum number of steps to find out the minimum floor the egg will break with K eggs and N floors.\nThere were some system design questions on which data structure/s would be used for different types of use cases.\n**The key is to take your time, be calm and answer confidently. It is OKAY if you have to take a breath. Sometimes 3 deep breaths can help a lot.**\n\n**Interview 2:**\nThe next interview was the next day. This was more resume/project based and behavioural interview. So the interviewer asked me to introduce myself. He asked me why I had taken certain courses in college and which aspects of programming I was most familiar with.\nThen he asked me to show some of the projects on my resume and solve some small coding problems.\nI am a Jack of All Trades, so I had many things on my resume, so he asked me about my skills and interests and hobbies.\nThen he asked me if I had any questions, that led to a discussion about smart hardware and how software is needed to make hardware and the various aspects of the job.\n\n**Final Result**\nThe next day at around 11am, I got the email that I had got the internship offer along with the names of the other candidates. I was really HAPPY and felt a great sense of joy and satisfaction. My hardwork and consistency had finally paid off.\n\n**Final Thoughts**\nJust keep grinding. Hardwork and consistency will ALWAYS beat Talent and Luck.
