Hi,

Writing this while I'm very sad and angry. I had a 1st round phone interview with Meta. Was told I did well but that at this time Meta had stopped hiring E3s. So the recruiter said they'd like to move forward with onsite interviews for a more senior position, i.e. E4. Recruiter even told me she had a strong gut feeling they'd allow this. Recruiter came back to me following week and told me that her manager rejected that because I did not have 2 years of experience which was the minimum requirement for E4s. I needed 1 more month to be eligible. Below is what my initial interview was like.

Phone Interview:

Interviewer:

• One of the worst interviewers I've ever had.
• VERY standoffish, unfriendly, and just cold...
• When we started the interviewer simply said her name and then said I had 45 min to complete 2 problems
• I had to ask her how her day was and she just responded with "fine"
• Played with her hair during the interview

What I did to Prep:
*Did a few of the top 100 Facebook tagged problems
*Did some mock interviews with a colleague
