Went through 2 screening interviews and a panel round of 4 interviews.

Screening 1 - Two leadership questions and 1 technical

  • A time you did something complex
  • A time you exceeded expectations
  • Implement an address picker component where there can be a lot of addresses and you need a prev and next button to scroll through

Screening 2 - With HR manager, just 2 leadership questions

  • A time when you did something outside your job scope
  • Can't recall the second one

Panel Interviews

1 - HR Manger, more leadership questions
2 - Bar raiser

  • a time when you had to act quickly
  • implement a code structuring problem

3 - Implement a like button component
4 - Some DFS problem. Given logs of urls, determine if a url can be reached from a source url

Experience

I had good examples for the leadership principle questions prepared so those typically went well,

However I pretty much winged the technical react component questions, having not practised for those at all.

Then flopped with the DFS problem at the simple stage of converting the logs to an adjacency list.

Feedback
Recruiter called to say the team thought I was really strong in demonstrating leadership principles, but wanted to see me demonstrate more technical complexity in the solutions to the technical problems.
