Round 1
It started with OA in H*****earth platform, there were two questions
- It was tree based question, I don't remember the details exactly, it was something like this: you are give a integer N, which is at the root of tree node, and it's children are factors of root, and children of factors were factors untill 1
e.g if N = 10 then childrens of 10 will 2, 5, for 2 and 5 it will be 1 and 1, basically we need to find depth of such tree. sorry If I am not able to explain properly it happen long time ago I don't remeber detail clearly - Second question was simple greedy question, this question is famous at that platform
cleared all test case of 1 one and almost all test cases for second one (2 got wrong answer)
Round 2
Round 2 was technicle there's no such DSA, python specific question, becuase it was in my resume that's it nothing much happened
Round 3
Round 3 was testing OOPS and designing round, problem statement was something like you are given a object o1 and list of objects [o2, o3, o4] you want to sort list of objects based on relative score of o1 and this relative score is calculated like this : consider there are four attributes of object (A1, A2, A3, A4) if anyone attribute is matching with O1 attributes relative score will increase by 1
e.g let's take o1 and o2 -> (a2, a3) is matching for o1, o2 then relative score of o2 is 2, similarly we need to calculate for o3, o4...o(n) then sort
Round 4
Round 4 was taken by Director of Engineer, round started with basic questions regarding Design principle's have you used any in your project? do you know about any design principle? like that of questions, then he gave me a problem statement,
problem statement: you have to build publication system, where publication can have multiple topics, and publisher will push articles to topics, as a subscriber you can subscribe to multiple topics and can read articles from subscribe topics . (basically pub sub message system).
I started with building classes, at the same time explaining what each class will do, he was also pretty chilled guy following along what I was saying, and also correcting my mistakes, after a while he said it's okay you can stop here, I understood your approach then he ask do you any questions?
Round 5
Got a call from recruiter that I have cleared last round, there will be another round with senior vice president it will be more like a discussion round, but recruiter warn me he is a technical guy, so he might ask some technical questions.
round 5 started, he ask me some question regarding rest api's, and some CS fundamentals, round went okaish
Round 6 HR
Same day I got a call from recruiter that we would like to setup HR discussions, HR ask me about previous company, some standard HR questions.In the last she said, I will work with my team regarding compensation and will get back to you.
while discussing with Director of Engineering, he mentioned that they have vast technology stack, but their major tech stack have PHP and Ruby on Rails, I will be working on any one of these. ROR I find it okay, PHP is something I am worrying.
what do you guys think about these technologies? How do you see PHP and ROR for future (for atleast 2-3 years) will it be beneficial for future? or even for resume?
Update:
I was waiting compensation from HR, but I got rejection mail instead, it seems I don't need to worry about above points now.
