Phone interview by Karat, one hour you need to finish at least 2 questions. Required to complete runnable code.
Onsite interview takes one day or split into 2 days
Day1
Round1 - White board, coding. Implement special linked list with Fixed Array as data in node. Implent get, add methods
Round2 - Enhance existing job search system, Get list of top of jobs which available recruuiter balance, Recruiter pays per click changes by time.
30mins break
Round3 - Resume deep dive, Behavioural
Day 2
Round4 - White board coding, BFS solution
Round5 - Coding exercise with Hankerrank, 90mins, Job Search - Give list of words and list of Job descriptions, find list of jobs matching words sorted by max word count found
One hour break
Round6 - Code review in gitbub, Java code, One Java file to review, Job Search related functionality
I split into 2 days
30mins or 1 hour break time each day
Hankerrank coding is 90mis to solve + 15mins for intructions - 2 interviewers joined and explained first 15mins and turned off camera for 90 mins and joined back in last 10mins
All other interviews are 60mins
Overall:
Overall good experience, Professional interviewers
Coding - Good, completed getNode and addNode method using splitNode and moveChars logic as needed.
Hackerrank - Completed Major testcases, couldnt complete all testcases
Resume deep dive - All standard questions, Level will be decided based on confidence level and experience, I might have not got enough stories for Staff role, Could be the reason for rejection
Code review - Gave 12 review comments, missed one "ureachable code" (Found later myself). Hard to tell what went wrong in this round.
Result:
Received email from recruiter after 3 days, Rejected with reason, moving ahead other candidates. No further feedback
I was not serious about preparing well. Already Had offer from Microsoft, Attended Amazon same week. Moving with Amazon.
