A drive was conducted for a team hiring. All round(2-5) were conducted in a day. All rounds were knockout rounds so was getting a call from HR after each round for details of the next.

Round 1 : Online coding test
-Comprised of 5 MCQ questions and 1 coding question. MCQ questions were all timed(max 1 min per question)

Round 2: Technical + Craft question round (1 hour)
* A question was sent a day earlier to be solved and discussed the next day. It was a question similar to 'delete nodes and return forest' question on LC.
* A few variations of the same question was discussed.

Other questions involved :-

  • Deletion in a BST
  • Rotation in a complete BST(similar to AVL rotation) - he was just interested to know what would be the steps to proceed, not the coding part of it.
  • Median of a running stream of integers
  • Space optimization of the 2 heaps approach of it. - This was more like a discussion

Round 3 : Technical(1 hour)

Started with 1 coding question : max length of string with no duplicate characters.
Questions on REST API, OOP

Round 4 : Technical(1 hour)

There were 3 easy coding question and 1 LLD. The code had to compiled and executed
Q1 : https://leetcode.com/problems/remove-all-adjacent-duplicates-in-string/
Q2 : https://leetcode.com/problems/add-strings/
Q3 : https://leetcode.com/problems/diameter-of-binary-tree/

Then a design question was given.

The requirement was to design twitter's following functionalities:

	* 	 user can tweet
	* user can follow other user
	* user can block other user
	* user can search using keywords for tweets
	* 	fetch trending tweets

Interviewer wanted a high level view of how the classes would look like and relationship between them. Also how the respective functionalities can be implementated

Round 5 : HM round(45 mins)

Discussion about previous projects and situation based questions.
Questions about why I wanted to change my current org and other standard behavioural questions.

Got the call 1 hour later once all the rounds were over. The interviews went smooth. Overall experience was great.
