Hi Leetcode community!

Just giving back since I got a lot of help from the community.
I'm a new grad with less than a year of experience.

I honor everything I signed/agreed so there won't be details about the questions. But, Ill give you my prep path that made it easy for me. I think this is better than actual questions anyways.

Phone screen 45-mins:

Quick intro then coding questions.
Array related question. - medium
String and hashmap question + some follow ups - medium

Next day I got an email about an onsite invitation.

Onsite:

Behavioral - 45 mins. I had good experience with team and solo projects at school as well as post school. So I had 4-5 stories in the STAR method. Questions were about passion projects, hurdles and conflictual situations. All my answers were around FB/Meta core values. Then I asked questions. The interviewer said they dont know what are the company's core values but from their story it was obvious that they had the values in them.
Technical 1 - 45 mins.

  1. Binary Tree question - medium. 1) asked clarifying questions 2) proposed solution 3) light pseudocode 4) coded. I was asked what other solutions there could be. I answered them but I didn't coded it since it's a const space method but rarely used. But I let them know that I know about it.
  2. Array & int question - medium 1) asked clarifying questions 2) proposed solution 3) light pseudocode 4) coded. I had slight problems due to nervousness, but the interviewer helped out with hints.

Technical 2 - 45 mins.

  1. Binary Tree question - easy 1) asked clarifying questions 2) proposed solution - iterative 3) light pseudocode 4) coded
  2. Integer/array question - officially medium question but upper end of it. 1) asked clarifying questions 2) proposed solution 3) light pseudocode 4) coded. I struggled a bit but I was confident about the solution so I emphasized on communicating it.

After 3-4 days I received a verbal offer. My recruiter and all the interviewers were super nice.

My prep:

  • FB tagged top 100 questions last 6 month - LT premium. All the questions I received were top 75.
  • Blind 75 - skipped bit manipulation and most of DP. Plan was to solve such topics from fb tagged questions.
  • Really polished my DSA via YT videos, LT premium explore/learn section.
  • When solving the top 100, I went over top 50 a couple of times.

Previously I failed interviews at Microsoft (twice onsite), Bloomberg (onsite), Amazon (onsite), Lyft (phone), Airbnb (onsite), and a couple of really good startups who got funded big $$$ recently.

So yeah, that's normal. I am not a genius as you can see. Since I graduated, I have been practicing on and off and only recently got better honestly. I like developing applications not doing these coding challenges.

I am very happy to join Meta! Thanks again and goooooood luck everyone!
