The interview started off by small introductions to each other. The interviewer asked following questions:

  • my recent work experience.
  • which technnology stack I worked with
  • What was the most challenging part of that job.
  • "Did you have to create any designs of code". I think he meant a flow or modularity of the entire project. He again asked about any endpoints or response of code that I may have designed.

The interviewer then took a simple coding test to understand how I would optimize an if/else statement. He gave three such questions.

  • The first two were easy and we moved ahead.
  • The third one took some time since it was without indents as others but longer. During simulation of second's answer it was slightly confusing for interviewer and me too to spot the correct starting and ending brackets. I think during such questions rather than rushing in, I should have taken time initially to format the code with proper indents to get clarity and then proceed to answer.

Towards the end, I asked questions about the role and project that intern would work on.
Waiting to hear back about next steps.
