Current Position: SDE at local small company (1+ year)

December 2021
Approached by a hard working Amazon recruiter on LinkedIn in December 2021. Did OA in December 2021.
January 2022
Heard back results for OA in January 2022 (thought I got rejected). I also skipped the phone screen.
I work a day job so it is difficult to schedule final onsite interview. Scheduled final onsite February 2022.
February 2022: Final onsite and offer call.
I'm honoring NDA, but will give as much details as possible.
Done this quite a while ago, so don't remember the exact questions. Needed to also state and explain the run time complexity and space complexity for the coding questions.
4 rounds of 60 mins interview. All 4 rounds were similar format.
I was able to solve all coding questions, with good discussion on run time complexity and space complexity. Had time to ask questions at the end of all rounds. Generally, I thought all went well and had the opportunity to "interview" the team too. :)
Overall, I believe Amazon focuses a lot on LPs, as the company develops their product based on the LPs. For coding preparation, I mainly focus on FB's pure coding questions, and practice talking through the approach. I heard/believe technical communication is extremely important in interviews like these. In addition, ask a lot of clarifying questions, the initial question statement is often very vague and you could guide the question to something you are familiar or solved before. I also try to participate in weekly and biweekly contests whenever possible as I think it simulates the scenario where you have to solve questions within time constraint.
On hindsight, I think I could have tried for SDE2 at Amazon. Live and learn I guess...
Thank you for making this far. Good luck everyone.
