I attended the ProServIII interview last week.
The experience was very bad. The interviewer doesn't seem to have any interest in the interview. He came 10 min late . He started asking my previous experience and some situation based questions. later he asked me to do a coding challenge.
Prior to Interview , I asked the Recruiter about the interview format , he said its more on Architecture discussions and SystemDesign Problems. I was preparing on these.
The interviewer asked me to code BinarySearch, I tried to explain the concept and started defining the node structure later i told him , I am not comfortable on this and i could get another coding challege , he gave me "Anagrams", which I solved in few mins, he was not expecting that, later he asked some time pass questions. Looks like he already decided on someone.
Today, I got feeback , "coming up with node structure for binary search tree etc the panel has mild concerns to proceed further"
what does this mean ? is coming up with node structure is a concern for the interviewer? I am certified AWS Solution Architect with 12 years experience on Java, Springboot, Microservices, AWS, Docker , Kubernates.
I am not understanding what the interviewer is trying to access here from coding textbook BinarySearchTree, atleast if has given some analytical / reasoning based coding challenge, I can understand he is assessing my reasoning skills. What the interviewer is trying to assess here I don't understand.
AWS PROSERVIII India needs to improve the interview quality, they have to make sure to find the right interviewer with skills, not the time pass one or else they will loose credibility.
Thank God , I am not selected. Don't want to part of that sheep herd who doesn't know what they are doing at the first place.
