Status: New grad, BE CS Thapar University Patiala

The interview process for tata 1mg consisted of 4 total rounds:-
1. Technical Online Coding Test + MCQS ( on mettl with face cam):
Three coding questions, two medium and one easy question the questions were based on bst and greedy algorithm, and they were 15 odd MCQs consisting of code snippets, os questions and networking questions along with some SQL queries(20 kids were shortlisted out of 310)
2. Online interviews the interviews had three rounds.
two technical rounds and one hr round.
First Technical Round Interview :
The first technical round was easy and was to assess the general understanding you have about computer science with usual oops questions some code snippets, and you might be told to write pseudo code for some riddle 1mg primarily has its codebase in python , so that is preferred, but people who used c++ also went through (15 people were shortlisted)( I was asked to write the pseudo-code for the wrapper problem where every three wrapper gets you free chocolate).
Second Technical Round Interview:
You would be asked to solve 2-3 problems dictated verbally. The question i was asked were:-
1. Write a bst in inorder
2. https://leetcode.com/problems/two-sum/
3. https://leetcode.com/problems/path-with-minimum-effort/
some people were also asked questions like finding the area of overlapping rectangles and so on; the round also focuses in detail on the projects that you did, how you approached them and the technology used (7 students were shortlisted).
4 th Hr Round
The hr round was very calm and was taken by the higher-ups in the organisations; the system architects and director of engineering both were very friendly and mostly talked about your interest and gen vision about the future and your understanding of tata 1mg as a business.
After that, four children were selected, and I was one of them.
Overall learn the basics for all fundamental subjects in graduation and brush up your dsa skill and you should be fine also don't forget to read about the company for the hr round as people with no idea were eliminated, also they were very strict about plagiarism, and many students were disqualified for the same.
