In November 2021, I applied for a SDE internship position using referral from a senior.

My Status: I have 3+ years of software development (mainly backend) work ex from a startup, currently a CS masters student in one of the top 50 CS schools in the USA.

Online Assessment: Got a Hackerrank based Online Assessment after 2-3 weeks of applying.
Question 1: An easy (not directly from Leetcode though) problem with Hash table based solution.

After almost 2 weeks from the online assessment, the recruiter informed scheduling of 2 round of 30 mins each technical interviews.
Interview 1: This was with one of the directors of VISA Global team. He mainly asked question on breadth of my experience. What all tech stacks have I worked on. Do I have ETL experience? Asked the implementation for the Group Anagrams problem.
Interview 2: This was with one of the chief architects of the same team. First he started with "finding cycle in a Linked List problem" and then jumped onto "finding Kth node from end in a Linked List" problem. He asked me to mainly focus on logic and didn't ask to code. These were fairly simple, so we got some time left. He later spent remaining time diving into the some Operating System concepts like Process/Thread and synchronization etc.

I was pretty confident as I answered most of the questions well. But didn't hear from the recruiter for about 3 weeks (may be because it was Christmas time). Got an offer later.
