Hi, I recently gave the Bloomberg interview. Thought of contributing to the community.
Phone:
Passed Phone interview with positive feedback. Solved both of them optimally. Discussion on Time complexity and Space complexity. Start of 5-10 mins was an introduction from both sides.
Round 1.
Intro from both sides. There were 2 engineers. Resume discussion for 10-15 mins. Why Bloomberg ? Then the coding problem. Only 1 question was asked. Discussion on Time complexity and Space complexity.
Passed interview with +ve feedback. Solved it optimally.
Round 2.
Same pattern as round 1.
Solved both, Discussion on Time complexity and Space complexity. +ve feedback, Moved to the next round.
Round 3.
System Design
It was a round with EM. Started with introduction. Then, EM asked me one System design problem. The variation of the problem can be found in G***#ng and Ybe. We discussed Functional and Non - Functional requirements. Then moved to High level design. EM was helping me wherever I was getting stuck. It ended as a collaborative discussion from both sides. I was not moved to the HR round after that.
Feedback -> EM was expecting to discuss more on NF requirements, scalability, consistency etc. He helped me with NF requirements. In feeback HR mentioned that EM was happy with the selection of microservices, Databases for HLD but due to NF, I was not moved ahead.
Just a suggestion to all people giving BB interview. Take it lightly, You never know what and how much they would be expecting. I prepared from G**#ng and Ybe and tried to explain as much as I could but it was not enough. He was expecting more.
