An individual from a recruiting company approached me for many roles he had with him. One of them was as a C++ developer in Tower Research, Gurgaon.
Online Test Round: There were three sections: 7 MCQ questions mostly from Data strutures, OOP, OS and Networking. These should be do able if you have basic knowledge of all these topics. Then there were two questions in which the code was written but we needed to correct the code. and then the last section was two straight up coding questions. One was easy Bellman ford question and the other was a Leetcode hard level question. Overall the online test was medium-hard and you should be really good with data structures to crack through this.
My online round didnt go very nice but they still called me for the interview.
Round 1: This was taken by a senior in the team and was mostly involving discussion around network TCP and UDP protocol. There was also a small code snippet in C++ which had some errors and had to be identified. This went for 45 minutes. After this she asked me a trie based question not on leetcode. The trick was to process the strings in backward manner to reach the complexity expected. This round went well.
Round 2: This was also taken by a senior in the team. Since the interview was for a C++ developer, the interview asked me in depth details about classes and virtual functions and virtual tables. This required very deep granular level understanding of classes in C++. Then we moved onto a low level system design question. He asked me to give a LLD for a high frequency trading company. Mostly the concepts involved were callback and observers and proper classes needed to be implemented.
My round 2 didnt go really well and hence I was not invited for further interviews. Overall the interview experience was good but since they were looking for C++ developers, they wanted good deeper understanding of the language and OOP concepts.
