Microsoft | FTE | Bangalore | Dec 2021

It was a pleasant excursion that came to an end. It all began on October 26th, when I was selected for the Engage Mentorship Program.

After the coding round, Out of 50k students, only 400 were selected.

The event is scheduled from 8th November to 28th of November. In which we have to design something that solves the academic-related problem. I have completed my project well before time and got positive feedback from my mentor. After a few days, I received an email informing me that I had been chosen for the interviews.

I had to go through three rounds of interviews.

ROUND 1:-

  • Discussion on engage project.
  • OOPS
  • DBMS
  • 1 DSA Question (topic:- Linked list)

ROUND 2:-

  • Project discussion
  • 1 DSA code to replicate the behavior of ls command in command prompt
  • General os questions

Round 3:-

  • Deep Engage Project discussion with its implimentation and live DEMO.
  • Situation based Questions

All the rounds went very well, but the time doesn't favoured me😅😅

And after 3 back to back interviews on the same day, I have got the rejection mail from Microsoft. The reason for the rejection was not specified.

Yaa, it was painful but the lessons I learned over the course of 1.5 months were invaluable.

My achievements from this event

  1. Designed and developed a full-stack MERN project.
  2. Name of Microsoft in my resume😁.
  3. Goodies from microsoft😁.
  4. Interview experience of 3 rounds.

Last but not least, it was a fantastic learning opportunity.

I encourage all the students to take part in the upcoming engage program.
