I had asked my friend to refer me for L4 role in Uber in September. The process was very slow. It took a month to receive the online coding round invitation. Finally received the invitation in October.

Preliminary Round - Online Coding round
1 Easy Question and few MCQs. Very easy to clear this round.

After nearly a month, I got selected for the Virtual Onsite rounds after few follow-ups. Since I was already preparing for my Google and Facebook interviews, I went straight ahead with the interviews.

All rounds are for an hour.

Virtual Onsite 1 - Coding Round
1 Medium Question - Similar to https://leetcode.com/problems/evaluate-division/ - You need to construct a graph and do BFS/DFS, there was a follow up, which was to find the path based on priority. Was able to solve this completely without hint.
1 Hard Question - Similar to https://leetcode.com/problems/bus-routes/ - I came up with a O(N^3). The interviewer gave me a hint, and I quickly figured out the O(N^2) solution.

Virtual Onsite 2 - Machine Coding Round
Asked to Code an in-memory Job Scheduler which handles 3 types of jobs - Recurring and Non recurring jobs. There can be multiple jobs to be run concurrently. Was tested on code quality, extensibility and handle concurrency.

Virtual Onsite 3 - System Design Round
Question 1 - Asked to explain the project design from my previous experience. Questions around why I did what I did, compromises in design etc.
Question 2 - Design a system to fetch restaurants delivering in an area, customise the restaurants listings based on user profile.

Virtual Onsite 4 - Hiring Manager Round / Behavioral Round
Questions about my work and past experience, around leadership principles. Standard HM Behavioral round.

Next day, Recruiter said I got the offer. In the next few days, I got the offer letter.

Experience - I felt the interview process to be structured. Initially there was a delay in getting thru to the interviews. However, the rest of the process happened fast. The interviews, negotiations and offer rollout happened with in 2 weeks.
