Hello everyone, so I recently interviewed for Meta / Facebook (research scientist intern), I had 2 virtual on-site rounds:

1st coding interview: which I did good in and the interviewer told me I will give you a positive review. I was asked 2 meduim questions with follow-ups, I can't say the exact questions because I signed an NDA. But I prepared by solving FB top 50 questions followed by FB last 6 months questions ordered by frequency. I would highly recommend a leetcode premuim account if you have an interview coming up, it is really helpful and worth every penny.

The 2nd was a research/team-match interview: which I also think I did good in this interview, as the interviewer seemed happy and told me at the end I learned a lot from you and I wish you luck...etc, so he seemed happy and the conversation was very nice. This was mainly about my research and future work.

To my surprise, the recruiter told me we will schedule a follow-up interview which will also be a research/team match.

3rd interview follow-up research/team match: Sadly this one was not good, I was more prepared than my other research interview, but the interviewer was not happy I could tell he is not convinced with my answers (it was research oriented mainly why I did things in a certain way). I don't think he will give me a positive review, I am not even sure why I had this follow-up round.

Also I felt that the first team match/research interview was a better fit for me, I wish I could say that to my recuiter but I don't think it will make any difference, maybe the interviewer gave me a postive review but didn't find a good match on his team and maybe that's why they scheduled a follow up.

I still didn't hear from my recuiter but it would be such a shame that it ends this way, I did my absolute best! but the 3rd follow-up was one of my least nicest interview experiences, I was wondering since it is a follow up will it be the decision-maker? or will the feedback from 3-interviews be taken into consideration?
