Hi ! I recently interviewed onsite at Google for the Software Engineer - Early Career role. I haven’t heard back from my recruiter about the feedback or status since my last onsite. However, would like to know if I have any chance whatsoever.

Interview 1:
This was a 60 minute round. For the first 15-20 minutes, the recruiter asked some behavioural questions. It was a nice conversation. Then I was given a medium-hard binary search + string problem. I was able to come up with solution pretty quickly and was able to complete the code. I was able to explain the time complexity etc. Had missed a simple edge case, which was pointed out by the interviewer but then was able to correct the code. Took ~ 5 mins overtime.

Interview 2:
This was a 45 minute round. No behavioural questions were asked in this round. I was asked a simple graph BFS related problem at first. Was able to provide the solution pretty quickly and coded it up fast as well. Then, I was asked another question based on the first problem. This was a hard problem based on Dijkstra. I was able to come up with an innovative solution. Coded up quickly as well. Finished everything in 30 minutes. Chatted with the interviewer for the rest of the interview. I think I nailed this one.

Interview 3:
This was a 60 minute round. We started with a medium scheduling related problem. I was able to come up with a solution and coded it up as well. Then, the interviewer asked me If I could improve the time complexity of a certain part of the code. The overall time complexity could not be improved. I thought for a few minutes but came up with a wrong solution as pointed out by the interviewer. Then, I was asked behavioural questions for the remaining time. Chatted with the interviewer for the last 5 minutes. This is the interview I’m concerned about.

My ratings would be : Hire/Strong hire + Strong hire + Lean hire/Lean no hire

What do you think ? Will I pass or fail ?
