Recently I was approached by a recruiter to interview with Flipkart from Instahyre platform.

R1: Machine Coding(90 mins coding + 30 mins demo):
Was asked to develop a property booking site like magicbricks, housing.com etc.

Basic features included the following:

1. User can add a new property to the site for sale.
2. User can view the list of properties added by him.
3. User can select a list of interesting properties available for sale and shortlist them in a list.
4. Search/sort feature to search/sort property based on price range, location etc.
5. Once property is sold, we need to stop showing the property in saleable properties.

Need to focus on covering all the requirements, working solution, extensible code with design patterns and handle all edge cases.

R2: Coding Round(60 mins):
Was conducted by an external agency called Interview Vector. I was asked 1 medium + 1 hard leetcode problem. Was able to come up with complete soln with code for medium problem and approach + partial code for the hard problem.
Medium problem was on Binary search.
Hard problem was on AVL Trees.

R3: LLD (60 mins):

Again conducted by Interview Vector. Was asked to design a parking lot.
Had to gather all the requirements and present a design for MVP with all entities, interfaces, separation of concerns, usage of patterns where necessary, detailed flow logic.

R4: Hiring Manager(60 mins):
This round was over in 30 mins. Detailed discussion on past projects and experience and some standard questions like why do you want to join Flipkart, how to handle conflicts at work etc.
