Round 1(Screening) - 1hr :
Since it was for a Full stack role I was touched upon many core JAVA, JS, React, Docker, Database Technologies,REST,OAuth, How TLS works, Socket connections followed by simple DS/Algo question which was pretty sorting based question but interviewer focussed more on how I applied OOPs concept.

Round 2 (Loop1- Front end System Design) - 1hr :
Interviewer started with basic intro and deep dived into JS questions like how JS Engine works, Microtask queue, DOM Event propagation, Promises, Async/Await, React vs Angular, How React is efficient(Virtual DOM,etc), React hooks and its order of execution and when to use and when not to use them. Last 30 mins, I was asked to Design Components of recently developed Internal tools. Since I developed the internal tool from scratch by myself, I was able to justify the design decisions clearly. Questions mostly revolved around when will you use Stateful/Stateless components,which react hook to use, Redux, choosing DOM events and handling them, Pagination, Timers,etc.

Round 3 (Loop2 - Back end System Design) - 1hr :
Again interview started with basic intro and was grilled for the first 10mins on GC and its types and how GC works internally(mostly on younger GC and how variables get promoted). Remaining time I was asked to Design Ride hailing service like Ola/Uber and design was focussed more on how to scale during peak hours and proactive driver assignments based on preemptive demand deduction. Also covered how Notifications will work for user/driver using Websocket, Analytics service to compute the demand and Logging service using pub sub model.

Round 4 - (Loop 3 - Technical Discussion) - 1hr :
This was round was taken by someone very senior and was mostly like Quick fire round where interviewer asked Front end/Backend questions in alternative manner. For eg. Interviewer was asking about Heap/Stack in JS,Single threaded JS with eventloop and suddenly he would ask about Heap Datastructure and its internal implementation in JAVA(PriorityQueue with some custom sort). Solid design principles, Design patterns used,explain Inheritance and Polymorphism with example and Immutable object. Other questions involved current Project discussions and their followups.

Round 5 - (HM - System Design) - 1hr :
HM started with brief intro about the new team and himself. HM gave me the exact problem statement which the team is going to work on and asked me to design for it. I was able to cover all aspects like Scalability, Resilience, Idempotency, Extensibility, Choice of Database(SQL/NoSQL). HM also asked questions on CAP theorem when choosing databases and designing Schema like where would I prefer Consistency over Availability. For the last 15mins, there were a few behavioural questions like why Oracle, conflict with teammates, strong technical areas of mine.

Round 6 - (Bartender - Behavioural) - 1hr :
This was taken by HM from another team. This round is something similar to BarRaiser of Amazon where Bartender's decision is final. In this round I was asked mostly of SDLC of recently done feature by our team. I explained the typical SDLC process followed by our team from inception of feature to release of feature to open world followed by feedback analysis of customers and enhancement.

All my rounds went pretty great.

Result : Received verbal offer after 3 hours of last round.

I felt pretty weird that I had System designs in most of my rounds and no DS/Algo in Loop rounds. Is it pretty common for IC3 Full stack?
