Online assesment.
- Had 9 questions. 5 was the cutoff. Had 1 hour to solve it. Questions included some on java like hashmaps implementation, creating custom equals for hashset, implementing your own hashcode function and some questions on DSA from hashmaps, sets and arrays. DSA questions were relatively easier compared to Java. I was able to clear this round.

Phone Screening.
- Recruiter called me to let me know I had cleared OA. She then asked me to tell a bit about myself and my role at my current job and my current work culture and things that interest me. We talked in length about it. She then asked me some questions related to java like new features that i use in java, my experience with collections and some questions from it as well. The call lasted around 30 minutes.

Technical Round 1 : Low level design / Pair programming round.
- Round was of 1.5 hours. I was paired with another dev from Thoughtworks and was asked to design and implement a game of Hand Cricket. The task was to design, implement and simulate rounds based on random throws from each player. A set of rules were given which governed the game.
- It is essential to first discuss the design before you begin coding. The design should be agreed upon before writing the code.
- The round was tough. I had no experience with this kind of round in an interview. But it is essential to listen to the feedback from the person you are paired with. I was able to completely simulate the game after fixing some bugs. My code ran!

Technical Round 2.
- Round was of around 1 hour. A panel had interviewed me on Java and DSA. I was asked to introduce myself, my current role, the project I am currently working on. I had to draw diagrams to explain properly. After that I was asked questions about how I enable some specific things to work on my current project that I had explained. What could be better I were to re-engineer from scratch. The questions had depth and tested my understanding of my current project.
- was asked questions on Multithreading, OOPS concept, Collections in Java, Interfaces, default keyword and it's use, stream operators and lots of other java related stuff. Also a few questions on Java Design patterns and Authentication/JWT tokens.
- was asked to write a code to show the implementation of default Interfaces and how to solve diamond problem.

Leadership and social change round.
- Was asked lots of Leadership questions related to my current work. It had a lot of depth to it and I tried to answer everything I could. Questions about my learning, what I would like to pursue in future, how I manage conflicts, imposter syndrome, etc.
- Social change round included questions from my background, what societal issues are close to me. Things we can do to fix it.
- Ownership, teamwork and empathy for others were the most needed for this round.

After all these rounds, an offer was extended to me. Throughout the interview process, the recruiter was in constant touch with me and guided me. Everyone I interviewed with had a really good vibe and it was one of the smoothest interviews I had attended.
