Interview process:
Round 1: Technical Phone screen (1.30 hrs)

• Taken by department head.
• Technical discussion regarding my previous work at the company
• Projects I had mentioned in my resume
• 1 Medium coding question (30mins)
• Tip: Be thorough on the work you did at your company and the projects you mention in your resume. Have good knowledge on the architecture and the role of each component used.

Round 2: Machine coding round (2.30 hrs)

• Design a in-memory database
• Should design and implement for all the constraints and requirements given.
• Should demo the code (using screen-share) and the interviewer will give some sample test-cases should test the same.
• Most important and tiring round.
• Tip1: Practise before-hand for machine coding round, since it has become common in many interviews. For example, Flipkart, Razorpay, Udaan, Gojek.
• Tip2: Complete 1 module at a time and double check that module before moving to the next one.

Round 3: Hiring Manager round (1.30 hrs)

• Taken by a senior manager
• Technical discussion regarding my previous work at the company
• Projects I had mentioned in my resume
• Some behavioural questions like "Tell me about a time when you had to convinse your team leader regarding a trade-off". "Tell me a time when you failed"
• Other common but tricky questions like "Why Razorpay?", "Why leaving the current org?", "What will you do if you get a better offer than this?", "Why leaving a big org to join Razorpay?"
• This was more tiring and tricky.
• Tip: Practise before-hand for some common behavioural questions and their counter questions too.

Next day, the recruiter called me to offer a SDE role at Razorpay.
