This was an on-campus opportunity. We had a total of 4 rounds -

  1. Online Coding Round - Platform was HackerEarth. There were a total of 3 questions - 1 easy, 1 medium and 1 hard. Points distribution was 50-75-100. Those who solved 2 or more were shortlisted.

  2. Technical Round 1 - 3 questions were asked in around 45 mins. All 3 questions were of an easy-medium level.

Q1. Imagine you are reading in a stream of integers. Implement a data structure to add a new integer and get the rank of an integer x (number of integers <= x). No inbuilt data structure is allowed.

Q2. (Rottten Oranges) You are given one city in the form of n x m matrix. There are some people with covid-19 positive on Day-1. Covid-19 spreads to its adjacent each day. Determine the Day when each person in the city will get infected.

Q3. K’th Smallest Element in Unsorted Array

  3. Technical Round 2 - 2 questions were asked in around 45 mins. In the beginning, the interviewer asked me a warmup question in OOPs. However, I messed up and told the wrong answer! After this, I was kind of worried and I thought that I wouldn't be able to solve the coding questions. But luckily, I kept my calm! The first question was quite easy and I coded it in about 10-15 mins. The rest of the time was spent in explaining my approach to the second question.

Q1. There are N people. Birth year and death year of each person are given. You need to find out the year with most number of people alive.

Q2. Implement a data structure RangeMap that allows you to add a key value pair <Range, Int> (where Range is a pair of integers [l, r]) if it does not overlap with already existing ranges. You should be able to get the value given the range. Lastly, given a range [a, b], return a set of all ranges which have an overlap with this range.

  4. HR Round - We had a discussion about Sprinklr's values, what I liked about Sprinklr, etc. It was for a duration of 30 mins. Do research about the company and go through the slides they present in the Pre-Placement Talk.

After the HR Round, I was informed that I got the internship!
