Wipro came to our campus for the position of Product Engineer.

1. Screening Test:

Before the assessment, we were asked to download lockdown browser, the link was sent via mail. The test was on AMCAT platform. It had 5 sections:
1. English: This covered questions on synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks with suitable pronouns/verb form/adjective, etc. , Rearranging sentence, and comprehension (para given, questions based on that were asked)
2. Logical Ability: Blood Relations, Word Encoding, directions, etc.
3. Quantitative Ability: Speed, distance & Time, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Probability, Profit & Loss
4. Coding: 2 codes were asked : 1 - The Two sum problem, 2 - Number of rotations required to form a specific array.
5. Essay: 20 mins time was given to write an essay on Indians leaving for abroad for job opportunities. And what would you do if you have an offer from out of India and one within India.

3 days later, the list of students shortlisted for the next round was released by the placement cell. My name was present in the list.

2. Interview Round:

The interview was scheduled on superset. The interviewer asked the following questions:

  1. Self introduction
  2. Asked to do a walkthrough of the resume
  3. Discussed about the assessment and my performance. Asked my feedback and learnings from the assessment.
  4. Asked one feature that is the most important and somewhat unique highlight of Wipro's hiring in terms of assessment (I told about the essay section)
  5. If you are given a project that involves a technology, you are not aware of at all, what would you do.
  6. Asked favorite computer science subject.
  7. Since I also said web development for the previous question, he asked me what technologies I knew.
  8. Disadvantage and Advantages of Bootstrap
  9. Asked me to explain one of my project in detail and what was the result of the algorthms implemented in that.
  10. A math puzzle : 6,28,120,496, ?
  11. Why Wipro?
  12. Why should we hire you
  13. Willing to relocate, understand the service agreement, etc.
  14. Languages known
  15. CGPA, last semester GPA, backlogs,education gap
  16. He gave an intro on the culture at Wipro, the employees and the benefits, the teams, collaborative environment,Wipro's vision etc.

My interview went for approx 25 mins, while for most of my shortlisted friends it lasted for 10-15 mins.
From my and my friends' experience, my advice for the interview would be to know your projects well, research about Wipro, and most importantly stay confident and be clear and precise in your answers.
