Application
Applied online.
I was contacted by the recruiter as my application was successful for Software Engineer-Early Career role. I was asked to fill a questionnaire, which contains many questions, one of them was location preference, with options of multiple US and Canadian (I guess, only 1 Canadian) locations.
Phone Interview
The question was very open ended though computationally not very complex, had to figure it out the exact requirements first and then come up with the sol. with the time constraints.
Coding: Standard DS/Algos can be used to come up with the sol. but involved some analytical thinking.
P.S: I couldn't make it through the Phone Interview
I came up with the sol. that seems satisfactory to the interviewer, I was also successful in writing the code within the given time, to which interviewer said that it was not an easy question from any margin and good work in getting the sol.
But, alas, I couldn't make it through.
Take: On self-assessment, I guess, I should have optimised the code more and perhaps could have improved the code quality, but again there is this around 45 min time constraint too.
Your code will be something that perhaps would be reviewed later by the committee, if you haven't done too badly in the interview, therefore try to come up with the working clean solution.
