I recetly had a weird experience interviewing with facebook. My recruiter was very unresponsive and unhelpful through the interview process. For example, when I made it to on-site, my recruiter changed and the new recruiter was unreponsive with emails. Every time it took her 4-5 days to just reply back. For example, she asked for my availability for a call to discuss the on-site prep on a Firday for the next week and I replied in few hours, then she did not reply until next Friday! This was only for scheduling. This kept happening for other communications.
After the onsite, she reached out to me after two days and asked if I had any offer.. Then, she was unresponsive for two weeks she kept asking me one time if I received any offer from other companies. And finally, emailed and let me know that my candidacy is not moving forward without any feedback. She did not even let me know that whether I passed the debrief or anything. Is this normal, can recruiters just reject a candidate wihout anyone knowing or consulting with hiring comittee?
It seems weird and unfair. You spend a whole day trying for something but you get treated like nothing. No feedback!
I was wondering what everyone think of a service to review reruiters from big companies as a tool to share the feedback. This way they can at least read reviews on themselves and might treat candidates with respect and fairness.. I feel like they get away with this behaviour and we can't do anything. What do you guys think?
