Round 1 : Recieved an online test link from company. Online test was conducted on a platform called Talscale and it had 3 graph based problems all related to converging maze. One of the problem you can find by searching Converging Maze Problem largest cycle.
Round 2 This round was a 3hour Hackathon. I was asked to design a locking unlock n-ary tree. You can find the problem by searching Lock and Unlock resources in an n-ary tree.
Round 3 : A day long hackathon. It was an extension of round 2. I was connected to my interviewer on Slack and was asked to make the round 2 problem thread safe. This was quite challenging as they did not want me to use Synchronised block or semaphores or mutex. They wanted a proper approach where we get max power of multicore processor. It started at 10:30 in the morning and went on till 8 in the evening. I finally proposed the expected solution and coded it.
Round 4: This was 1 to 1 interview with a senior level developer at Juspay. Started with project discussio and then he asked me implement an interface with given functions and time complexities. With little help, I was able to code it and he was satisfied. Then he asked me basics of multi-threading and asked me to code a situation with 100% deadlock condition. I tried but could only propose a most likely deadlock situation and coded the same. He was not completely satisfied. After this few questions on Networking basics and done.
Round 5 : It was a managerial round with the CEO?Founder of Juspay, Mr.Vimal. He was very humble throughout and genuinely wanted to hold an open discussion with me. Questions revolved around technologies I have worked on, my academic and extracurricular acheivements and some behavioural questions.
After this, received a call from the HR that I had cleared all the rounds and they wanted to offer me a role at the Organization.
Advice : Make sure you are good at multithreading before you apply at Juspay. The interview process involves a lot of multi-threading questions.
