**Status**: B.Tech in non-circuit branch from Tier 1 College, 3 YOE\n**Position**: SDE 2 at a product-based Startup\n**Location**: Hyderabad\n**Date**: September 2021\n\n**1st Round (DSA - Karat Screening Round)**\n5 min discussion on one of my previous projects followed by 3 problems. Started with LC Easy, raising it to LC Medium level by 3rd problem.\nI could code 2 and time got over by 3rd.\nNote: In this round efficiency of solution doesn\'t matter much, they give you 3-5 test cases for each problem before hand, hence just try to quickly code and complete as many problems possible.\n\nGot a call that I have cleared. Virtual On-sites were scheduled after a week.\n\n**2nd Round (Tech-Deep dive)**\nDiscussion on one of the most challenging projects I\'ve so far done in which I had the major contribution followed by lot of follow-up questions like your exact contribution, impact, challenges faced etc. \nNote: In this round better choose a project in which System Design/Architecture was invovled so that in follow-up questions they can ask more of design concepts to judge your knowledge well as they didn\'t have any explicit Design round in the process.\n\n**3rd Round (Hiring Manager Round)**\nAlmost similar to Tech-deep dive round. Because the project I mentioned wasn\'t a complex one, not involving much of design concepts, in the later half just started asking random questions.\nNote: Again I took a very simple project to discuss which didn\'t have scope of any in-depth discussion and highlights my work so far.\n\n**4th Round (HR Round)**\nTypical behavioural questions similar to Amazon LPs like tell me about a situation when or how will you react in a given situation etc. Lasted around 30 mins.\n\n**5th Round (DSA)**\nhttps://leetcode.com/problems/decode-ways/\nAs a follow up was asked to also print each possible combination.\n\n**6th Round (DSA)**\nDon\'t remeber exactly but LC Medium kind of problem based on strings. Had to use Hashmap to pre-process the string and then use it to answer following n-queries\n\nDidn\'t get any call for few days. After following up with HR for multiple times got a rejection Email informing that you are good fit for SDE 1 and not for SDE 2. \nNote: I guess the Tech-deep dive and the Hiring Manager round is where I did mistake.\n
